I think so few people choose to fight a traffic ticket because they fail to estimate the cost of their insurance going up as a result of a new mark on their driving record. They also forget that points can pile up on their license and threaten their right to drive a vehicle. You can and should fight your traffic violations in court with the help of an attorney.

I think it depends where you get the ticket. For instance i got a violation for not stoping at a stop sign in Spring Vally, New York. I pleaded not guilty, and went down to court without a lawyer, and the judge turned it into a parking ticket.
