Nude Dude: Reverend gets ticket for enjoying drive in the buff

August 10th, 2012 by tvblog

We came across this story today and as you could imagine, we had some interesting feelings about it. Today’s post brings a whole new meaning to “serving the cloth.”

Traffic Ticket Michigan, Peter Petroske DUI

According to the Greenville online out of Michigan, a local reverend was pulled over on August 2nd for a traffic stop outside of Detroit, Michigan after a concerned citizen called 911.

The priest is quoted in the police report as saying “I was hot… I like to drive around naked,” said Reverend Peter Petroske.

At Ticket Void, we try not to scrutinize or speculate in DUI matters, but according to the report, Petroske had a blood alcohol level of .09, or .01 over the legal limit in Michigan.

A first-time offender for a traffic ticket in Michigan known as a Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) faces  multiple penalties including; up to 93 days in jail, up to a $500 fine, up to 360 hours of community service along with six points on his or her driver’s license and up to 180 days with a suspended license, with a restricted license possible after 30 days.

That being said, common knowledge would dictate turning on the A/C when one becomes too hot in a car. We hope all turns out well and can only imagine how embarrassed the reverend must be.  One positive note is that he was cooperative with the officer, and submitted to the blood test. In Michigan, when a test is refused, an automatic suspension can follow, which often causes more trouble.
